Why should I hire a birth photographer?
I think some people assume that the only thing I'll be documenting is the exact moment a baby is born. This is not the ONLY reason I'm there and it doesn't even have to be the main focus. Sometimes I don't even capture "crowning" photos because that's just not what you want. My goal is to capture all the moments before and after as well. The emotion, the intensity, the connection between you and your partner and the LOVE and expressions when your baby is finally in your arms.
Why should I hire a birth photographer?
I am another member of your team. I can be your greatest support, cheering you on and encouraging you. Or I can be a fly on the wall. I've been doing this long enough that I am able to read the room and know how to respond. I know when moments are coming that need to be documented and I know when it's time to put my camera down and step out. I have training, experience and heart. being invited into your birth space is something I don't take lightly. It's a sacred moment and should be respected and treated as such
Why should I hire YOU?
In every consult I ask for your permission to share photos from your birth. Social media is very important for me. BUT I DON"T HAVE TO. This is your birth. And you get to decide. And even if I do have your permission, I never share images of nudity. If there is a photograph that I'd like to share that is even a little revealing I definitely ask again to make sure. Your comfortability matters to me.
